Singularity: A Short Story
I originally wrote this short story sometime in 2021. I no longer remember the exact date, but it reflects the emotions and thoughts I was carrying at the time.
And there we sat. On my bed. Together. We snuggled under a blanket. Listened to the sound of the rain together. Listened to our heartbeats synchronizing in the moment of calm. And we felt safe for the moment. I felt your skin, I felt your breath and I wanted this moment to never end.
You gave me a kiss that took me to another dimension. And I got up, made us coffee and I looked into your eyes. We didn't have to say anything as our eyes told us our stories.
I wish you were here now. I wish these memories were real. But I'm sitting here alone at the window. And I watch. As the rain falls from the sky and I fall, too. Into the singularity of consciousness.
